Mortgage Post Closer at First Financial Credit Union

Please note, this position, will be based out of FFCU's current operation center in West Covina, but will eventually be based out of FFCU's new facility in Pasadena (2900 Bradley Street). Position Overview

Assist with the mortgage loan closing process by reviewing loan documents for compliance, completeness and accuracy. Obtains missing information, prepares files, and provides support to internal and external customers. Follows up with loan packages and ensures processes are followed according to policies and procedures. Requires a detailed, multi-tasking, technical-minded individual with a high degree of accuracy, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced, team environment. Implements the mission, vision and values of the Credit Union, the Organizational Code of Conduct, and corporate policy in all dealings with members, co-workers and others.

Qualifications & Experience

  • In-depth understanding of regulatory guidelines and requirements of Secondary Market as it pertains to closing documents preferred
  • Ability to deliver effective results and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in computers including LOS systems, Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 25 WPM
  • Ability to communicate and work well with escrow companies, Investors and co-workers
  • Possess clear, concise and effective written and oral communication skills
  • Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude
  • Problem solver and the ability to multitask
  • Capable of working both independently as well as a part of a team

Minimum Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • A minimum of three (3) years current mortgage experience.
  • High school diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, LOS Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
  • Working knowledge of all regulations and requirements of Conventional loan programs

This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills, communications skills, as well as utilization of office equipment.
